Over the last week I have been unsatisfied with the way this is all going. Seem to have hit a plateau. I told myself at the start of this diet that if I feel stuck, then and only then will I seek assistance. 
I have found assistance in the form of ANIMAL CUTS. Yes, I’m a bit scared. It repeatedly says on the packaging that they are designed for pro bodybuilders. Also, apparently I need to keep close to a toilet for the 1st day. But, after trawling www.discount-supplements.co.uk (btw, favourite website, amazing delivery) these got the best reviews against pages of fat loss aids with either no reviews or less than great ones.
Designed to be used 3 weeks ‘on’, 1 week ‘off’, I have a 21 day supply. Man I am going to be necking a lot of pills, 18 per day!!! Oh deary me. 
I’ve decided to start Saturday. Really, really hope these are effective.

Just found this great little gem on fat burning.  If you ever wondered which was better for fat burning (aerobic or anaerobic exercise) this article is the one stop shop, without too much science.  Basically, when you are doing anaerobic cardiovascular activity (sprinting for example) you feel lactic acid buildup in your muscles.  This is a result of your body not having enough available oxygen and blood to export to your muscle fibers, so you go into burning your glycogen reserves.  Glycogen is a form of long term or backup energy that your body employs when doing anaerobic exercise, keep in mind that when you feel your muscles burning that is strictly your muscles, not fat.  The best way to burn fat is aerobic exercise.  With this kind of pace you can be more confident that your body won’t start eating into your glycogen reserves, will have an adequate amount of oxygen to keep working, and begin oxidizing your fat cells.

BMR = 1522cal

A few days ago I posted a link that gave details of how to work out your Basal Metabolic Rate. Turns out mine is 1522 calories - a lot lower than I thought it would be, especially given the government recommended daily allowance (RDA) is 2000 calories. Definitely helpful to know. You can factor in a multiplier to adjust for how much activity you do throughout the day to make your figure more accurate.
