Friday

Hard to remember exactly… I think it went something like this:

Oat bran porridge

a baklava

roast chicken breast with stuffing

I got high and I ate… ~ 6 chicken nuggets; doritos (my favourite, lightly salted oops!); an omelette!

Exercise: None, again…

VERDICT! The doritos were naughty but so proud I made an omelette to cope with my munchies. Granted this was because there was literally nothing else in the house.

Saturday

Oat bran porridge

Starbucks mocha latte

chicken fridge raiders

2 small white russians

suspect meatballs from Spar

more fridge raiders

3 amaretti

Exercise: minimal.

VERDICT! I was out and managed to not eat pizza/chips/fried chicken, all of which were readily available. The amaretti were my 5am reward.

Sunday

Full English: 1 slice toast, 1 fried egg, sausage, bacon, beans, black pudding, mushrooms, tomato.

Vanilla milkshake

cod in batter and mushy peas.

Exercise: None

VERDICT! Am I still on Dukan?? Great weekend though.

An Update:

WEIGHT: Today I weighed in at 65.1 kilos. I really hope that tomorrow I’ll weigh in at 65k or less (that will mean my monthly target will have been reached!! BUT part of the target was also to maintain it, meaning no cheating.)

EXERCISE: Yesterday I went for a 30min run. Yes, it was on a treadmill, yes it was slow but it was something. Something is better than nothing.

CHEAT DAYS: So far, I have not had a cheat day. At first I was intending to go all of October without one but then I remembered that there are birthdays in October so I may have to readjust that one. Also I want one.

Today I had to sit through my brother’s cheat day. It was immense. Chinese takeaway in amounts that we usually order for 4 people complete with prawn balls (SO tempting). Along with pizza, muesli (no envy), chocolate chip hobnob cookies, cereal bars, sugar puffs and other things I’m not allowed. I sat there with 2 boiled eggs, smoked mackerel and tinned tomatoes, which I have to concede was rather tasty. The main compensation is that he has just had a bad experience on the toilet whereas I’m feeling rather spritely.

CARBS: I cut down the carbs on my low carb days to 50g, which on the whole has happened but sometimes slipped up to around 55g. No biggie. The main positive difference has been that I’ve cut down my wheat intake and am sticking to more natural carbs - mainly oats and brown rice. The effect has been noticeable in that my farts no longer smell like evil and rotten eggs. Also, I am hardly bloated at all. Suspecting I may have a mild wheat intolerance.

MUNCHIES: I haven’t smoked weed, I haven’t eaten out of hours. This is good.

Overall, I’ve done pretty good. The discipline has paid off and I’m looking forward to weighing in tomorrow.
